Which way are you supposed to point your toes when you get a calf cramp?!

Question: well that was nice way to start the day, in debilitaing pain. I know that you can make it go away depending on the way you your foot is angled. I stood up straight, don't think that's it because it was still hurting pretty bad, is it point your toe down or up?

Up. You might want to sit down and have someone push your foot up too. Thats a good way to really loosen it up. Good luck.

I got these a lot while I was pregnant & I learned really fast to point my toes toward my tummy as I was stretching before getting out of bed in the morning & this seemed to prevent them. Train yourself to do the same.

Besides pointing/pulling up your toes/foot to un-cramp the calf, consider your diet may be deficient in magnesium. All the electrolytes affect muscles ability to contract. Cramps can also come from dehydration.
