What will happen if I pick off the yellow part of my canker sore?!
Question: It hurts so bad, but if I constantly touch it its not so bad. But, I mean CONSTANTLY touch it. I'm thinking about doing the above, but I want to know if it will come back more numerous or something. I wonder whats under that angry little crater...

Since the skin on top of a canker sore acts pretty much like the skin on a blister ~ it will HURT LIKE HELL as you peel it off and for a while after. But the direct stimulation to the infected area will eventually cause it to be desensitized, and you'll stop noticing it.
Oh, and the area underneath does look like a little crater :x It's kinda ewwy.
I also noticed that the sore seemed to heal faster the time that I took the skin off...
I think it will hurt like hell, then probably get more infected !!!!
it will get worse and then grow to a tumor that grows out of your mouth
