My hip feels like it's coming out of place... 20 wks preg... safe to try to !

Question: If I wasnt pregnant I would think something is terribly wrong with my hip - but since Im pregnant and your body changes so much Im just trying to walk it off.

When I am walking whenever I lift my leg up it feels like it's coming out of place. Sometimes it's unbarable where I collapse but usually it's just painful... goes away sometimes too :)

I just want to make sure this isnt something that could cause perminant damage if I ignore it. I have a 2 year old so I cant just sit down all the time.... THANKS FOR ANY HELP!

The hormones progesterone and relaxin cause a woman's joints and ligaments to loosen during pregnancy, especially in the pelvic area - in order to make room for baby! I know this because after the 4 months of 24/7 nausea I experienced during my last pregnancy finally ended, I could barely walk for the next 6 months! My right hip felt the same way, I eventually went to physical therapy. The bigger the baby got, the worse I felt. The only consolation I had was knowing that my baby was developing perfectly. Hope you get some relief!
