If you can't afford to pay for the treatment then you might want to talk to a lawyer to see if you have a case.

If you have witnesses to the assult then it would help and not just be "he said-she said".
You sound pretty messed up by this... Your friend may not have intended to hit you that hard but EVERYONE needs to live with the consiquences of their actions.

do you still want to be friends with this person? was it a joke or was it assault? consider the outcomes to suing this person, then make a decision.
I so sorry that really sucks! personally I wouldn't sue (although in your case that would possiably cross my mind)
