Ear ache question?!
Question: i get really bad ear aches, and right now i dont have any insurance, does anyone know anything i can do to combat the infection? the pain is tolerable with asprin, but i know its infected and i can't afford to go to the doctor. help?
please, if your going to be a jerk about the answer, don't post it. i know, i need insurance, but, blah, i live in michigan.

i know there is some over the counter stuff try asking at a pharmacy, also try not to blow your nose very hard b/c it will make it worse... maybe it's caused b/c of congestion problems i have allergies and claritin d works to get rid of the ear aches... it's now over the counter with ID... if not try something with a decongestant in it like sudafed, tylenol, and meds like that or try drinking hot chamomile tea it helps with pain
Try a public health department.
I would try a public health place, or apply for government assisting. In the mean time...keep up with whatever over-the-counter meds seem to work for you. (I personally will take sudafed, to help relieve the pressure/drainage). Heating pads also work too help ease the pain.

okay here's what the first aid thingy book i have says
as soon as the pain starts
1. fill a cup with warm water and hold it to affected ear so ear is submerged in warm water
2. keep head level no tilting at all
3. when water cools down replace it as quickly as possible
4. it still pain insues with warm water take like two of the huge mega powerful aspirin thats like 1000 miligrams
5. after pain in gone go to local drugstore or walmart and get some over the counter ear ache medicine
6.if nothing else works post question on yahoo
7.if yahoo is being retartded google it
okay i made up 6 and 7 and altered 5 a little but you get the point
me? i had to put up with it and not even moan because it happened to me during a huge test with no sound or getting up allowed
naturally i got to retake the test but it didn't matter i still had to ignore the pain for like an hour or two
