Bone stuck in throat: hard to spot/ prove?!
Question: General:
I am still suffering from a cough/ bad throat.
My suspect - a tiny bone fragment (which I coughed up). Thin, very hard and ivory-coloured.
This caused me four days of illness, including fever, uncontrollable burping and hiccupping.
After:
I showed the bone fragment to my Mom - but I doubt she believes me! She looked unhappy and blamed the dust in my room for it (mind you, I keep a neat room) and told me to clean up! Strange, aye?
Previous:
I had a similar case of non-stop hiccups years ago, but even the A & E department did not take me seriously.
Questions:
*Is it so hard to detect/ prove?
*How long before my body recovers from the bad throat (and possible hiccup 'rebound')?
*Are all Moms like that?

you should go to the Ear, Nose , and Throat specialist, to see if that bone has damaged your throat also so maybe they can help you find out why you have the hiccups so much, when you suck in air that causes hiccups also drinking soda, does it to,and spicy foods. and no all moms are not like that, If my child told me that I would take them to the Doctors immediately, I'll pray for you. Dont know your mum that well, so hard to say!, but if my bone was in your throat, trust me!, there'd be no doubt about it!!
Next time, don`t sit around with a cough,
Get a knife from the kitchen and cut out the offending piece ofbone and show it to your mother.
