My Right Hand Wrists Hurts Bad?!

Question: Well At gym we are playing Badmintion. I use my right hand to serve. I noticed I got pain in my wrist like two days ago. My mom put wrap around it but its not really helping. If i pick up a heavy object it hurts very bad and when I move it side to side it
hurts more. It hurts a little but when I move it up and down. My mom said if it dosn't get better over the weekend I need to go to the doctor. Also when I turn a knob on a door it hurts very bad. Do you think I tore something in my wrist?

Well I think you probably just sprained or pulled something in your wrist, because you didn't fall on it or anything... but for now you should use the RICE method... R= rest I= ice C= compression and E= elevation. You said that you are already compressing it, which is good. It may feel like it isn't doing anything but it will help the healing process. Have your mom write you a note to get out of gym class for the next few days to let it heal... take pain meds. like Ibuprofen (Motrin) for pain and swelling. Ice it for 20 minutes every few hours (every 2 or 3) If it hurts bad enough you should go to the doctors, but if it gets to be unbearable pain and you think you broke it then you should go to the ER. Hope your wrist feels better and I hope this helps.

It could be RSI, or you could have just sprained it.

Listen to your Mum, go to a doctor, they'll help you out.

AHHH. This exact thing has been happening to my wrist! But then the pain went away... And came back... So I have no idea.

when you serve in any sport like badminton or volleyball or tennis you jolt your hand downward to get top spin on the ball or birdie. so if you serve then your doing that a lot. its possible that something torn but i highly doubt it . probably just sore or sprained.

but listen to your mom.
see a doctor soon if it doesnt get better

sounds sprained,go see a doctor asap
