Do darvocets hurt your stomach?!

Question: They kill my stomach! Why?? Do they have alot of asprin in them? If I tell my doctor about this what other pain pill will he most likely prescribe me? I dont want anything weaker than darvocets cause they are weak enough! Also, I cant take lortabs either cause they hurt my stomach. What is in these pills that are causing pain? thanks!

i have taken both darvocet and lortab(hydrocrodone) they both have Tylenol in them. have you tried taking it with food? According to WWW.Walgreens.com
Darvon is Darvocet without the tylenol. i know there are other pain meds without tylenol. If you have chronic pain you may ask your about getting a patch so it doesn't go through your stomach.

Other meds may not be considered as strong but they work differently and may help better. A lot of people with Fibromyalgia find narcotics don't work. I also take tramadol, especially if I am going to be driving. It is actually an antidepressant but is used regularly for pain. If the lortab or darvocet haven't worked I take the tramadol with skelaxin (a muscle relaxer) . the thing is I don't have to wait six hours to take it. I can take it two hours after the lortab or darvocet. I also feel by alternating i'm not as likely to get addicted.

good luck

tylenol is in darvocets. If darvocet hurts your stomach and loritabs hurt I dont know what else you could take.Loricet is like vicoden and percocet. Tylenol #3 would make your stomach hurt to I bet. I dont know what else you could take.

Percocet, vicodin are alternatives. Have you tried taking them on a full stomach?
