Broken ankle??!

Question: Ok so I was jumping off a giant pile of snow. Then when I jumped off I landed on my ankle. The pain wasn't like crying pain but enough to make my friend help me get to her house. I've been elevating it and its wrapped for when I need to walk. My dad made me take the bandage off and stand on it and it was a little pain and then I walked... I felt like I could collapse! The pain was only when I tried to use pressure to move. I'm not sure if its broken or just after-pain or something. What should I do cuz like my parents think I'm a wimp. Is it broken or just sorta hurt.

From what I know (which, admittedly, isn't much when it comes to joints), it can be difficult to see the difference between a sprained ankle and a fractured ankle. You should probably stay off of it even if it's just a sprain, so try to stay off of it, and if the swelling and pain don't go away in a day or two then I'd go get it x-rayed. Or you could just go and get it x-rayed now, and save yourself the wait.

It's most likely Sprained because if it was broken you would be screaming and crying and balling your eyes out go to the doc get some x-ray's
