What's wrong with my little finger?!?!


Question: i don't know how and why my joint in my little finger is red and swollen, it looks bruised, i've had it for like a few weeks but i thought it would go away but its still there!, at first it hurt but it doesnt hurt anymore at all, but it's still swollen, red and bruised looking. what do you think i should do? anyone who's experienced the same thing? or is a doctor?..........thanks in advance! :)

Yep, get yourself to a doctor. Whatever it is does not sound too good. And the fact that it's stopped hurting doesn't necessarily mean that it's ok.
It may not be a soft tissue injury, you would probably remember hurting it if it was, but possibly an infection of some kind, I'm just guessing though. So go and see a doctor, like the person above said, it's impossible to diagnose things without doing a physical examination.

Nobody here who cannot examine the finger in question, even if the graduate of a medical college, can do a thing for you or your pinky. I suggest that you take it to an appropriate medical professional for an examination. You may have broken it. A simple strain or sprain or pulled tendon or ligament usually goes away in a few days. If the discoloration turns a dark blue almost black in colour its a good sign of a break. Only a doctor with a physical examination and or/an X-ray or the like can know for sure. Nobody here can diagnose your problem accurately in absentia.
