You can use KY Jelly as it does the same thing as any other conductive gel - that is to reduce the resistance of your skin to the electric pulses and to make the electrode pads stick to you. If you are using self-adhesive pads you really don't need to use any gel at all.
I do suggest cleaning your skin and the pad fairly well prior to using though.

Well lets see what else we could do with it.

I used to use a TENS machine and never put anything on the pads so I don't think it is necessary.

if you mean one of those gadgets that gives you "electric shocks" to improve your muscles, yes you can (I have one) but wash the "pads" before you use it again (you need to rinse off the dried ky jelly)

My doctor told me absolutely not to use anything. They even told me to use it right after a shower and make sure my skin was very clean. Be careful-they can shock the heck out of you.
