I have a very odd question pertaining to stopping smoking by using chantix and s!
Question: Ok, I smoked for about 3 years then I took Chantix (Rx) and was able to stop. 4 months later, a friend begged me to smoke w/him & I did.(Stupid)I continued to smoke til about 3 weeks ago when I started taking Chantix again. On Chantix, I have to wean myself off cigs. @ the same time. Question: I keep smelling a foul/weird smell that smells like when a skunk sprays.(I am from the country and I know what skunks smell like when they spray.) I don't smell it all the time, I sometimes think it is my cloths, my car, or some new funky BO. I have asked others and they don't smell it. The only thing I can think of is maybe my body is detoxing from the Chantix & that could be the smell. I know that when you quit smoking things taste & smell different.(In a good way)Has anyone else had this? Heard of this? Know what it could be? I read other questions on smell before posting and I don't have diabetes.Yes, I have good hygene. No weird/rude answers please. Thanks.

i think that brand name of smoking-cessation-aid is the one I heard about in the news recently. I think it was linked to neurological damage which would explain the weird/awful smell.
No idea what your smell is,but drugs are not required to quit smoking. I smoked 3 pack a day for 25 years and quit cold turkey. Find a substitute. I ate a butterscotch candy every time I got the urge for a smoke. Been 4.5 years now without a cigarette. Good luck, it's all mind over matter.
