Can nyquil gelcaps make you groggy two days later?!

Question: I have been sick this past week. On Thursday, I took nyquil gelcaps because I haven't been able to sleep because I was so sick. I woke up on Friday and I felt okay. However, I woke up today and I feel really groggy. Can taking nyquil gelcaps affect you 2 days later and have a delayed reaction?

I doubt it. You didn't say if you had a full 8 hrs of sleep. If you woke up feeling groggy, its usually an indication your body didn't get enough rest. Sometimes, your body may need up to 10 hrs of rest to be fully alert. Unless you have to get to work, or other matters to tend to, just go back to sleep again when ever you wake up, feeling groggy. Otherwise, walk to the kitchen and make a strong cup of coffee to give yourself a caffeine boost.
