Yes, it could be serious.. He possibly, very possibly hurt his disks in his back. Many people do not know that...
He must go to a Orthopedic doctor, right a way,
I truly believe he disks were injured
Please do not Wait,,,,The company he works for, should pay his bills, If not, get charity care,
Go to the hospitl now, I mean it.

if his back was broken he would be permanently paralized.

He really should go see a doctor, it could only be a badly pulled muscle, but he needs it checked out, if it is worse then a pulled muscle and he does nothing he could be making the situation worse, He could have a slipped disk which would hurt bad enough to feel like it is broken.

It's probably not broken if it's been two day. I would HIGHLY recommend he goes to the hospital/doctor immediately! That is nothing to play with, he can be seriously hurt and end up in a wheelchair, and he doesn't want that.

His back could be seriously injured, but unless he's got severe osteoporosis (which I highly doubt), it's not broken. He could have a slipped or bulging disc, or could have "thrown his back out," or any number of things. He probably should see a doctor or at least a massage therapist.

Hmm......it might be a slipped disk.....my science teacher said that happened to her and had similiar symptoms to this......go to the dr. right away!
