You can't get a "pin" in your wrist, you don't have to rush to any hospital. See your regular doctor and ask him for a referral to an orthopedic surgeon who then will asses you. Either he will tell you what will happen or again, refer you to a "hand" specialist.
This was happening to me, from oseo-arthritis and the covering on the bones being corroded by the disease. The Doctor could "pop" the wrist out it will and then, snap it back.

He gave me an Arthroscope, a needle with a camera on the end, while asleep of course, then took more then several pictures of what was going on inside the hand and wrist.

My bones were so badly deteriorated I had to have a ten inch plate put in. I know have a stiff wrist but, I can use my hand O.K.

Ask a doctor!

go to the hospital as soon as it happens again

You might need to get i pin put in your wrist to keep it from popping out if it keeps up.

I injured my Left wrist and ended up with carpal tunnel, which was surgically fixed. Great for 6 months, then the pain started and bones started to screech when I moved a certain way. My doctor treated it for arthritis. The pain eventually got excruciating, and wrist movement sounded like breaking a popsicle stick. Pain level at 10 when this happened. Still treated for arthritis. After four years, I had a four corner wrist fusion, which basically means that they removed my wrist. Now I am in constant pain. Can't sue a doctor in Canada. Since I now must use my right wrist more extensively, I am now experiencing the same bone popping and tingly fingers, and pain. It has been diagnosed today as carpal tunnel, and of course requires surgery. But this does not explain the bone popping. I have been checking out scaphoid injuries. This I think may explain my problems and will contact my doctor and ask him. Be careful, ultimately you must make the decision, don't do what I did and trusted my doctors. I now make sure that I check the internet extensively for any information, and of course try to root out the fakes with their magic potions, or pills. Good luck.
