I just got my finger stuck in a car door whats gonna happen?!
Question: i waas gettin out and i shut the door and my finger got stuck. its hurting so bad im balling my eyes out=[

just put ice on it and ur finger nail might come off but it will be okay. i promise it will be just fine. wrap a washcloth around ur ice and tape it to ur finger wit medical tape....good luck. hope ur finger gets better.

yes ur nail will come off becuz it happen to my freind and came off wiggle it and see if its coming off put it under cold water then give it some ice its swelled

Yeah your nail will come off. If it's really bad you may need to see a doctor just to make sure it isn't broken. Try Icing it and hold it over your head. Both will help the pain. Good luck!

most likely your finger nail will fall off and a new one will grow in it's place. That's it.
part of your nail might come off with in a few days or it may get really sensitive

no but you might want to put a bandaid over your nail so u dont have to see it and so others dont. dont worry, my friends have had that. its just bleeding internally. whaatever u do dont try to peel your nail off or something. just wait it out. and as your nail grows, it will heal and the color will fade
:( That happened to me when I was a kid with a sliding van door. OUCH. It hurt horribly, but it healed. Your nail may come off, but they grow back if you didn't upset the area from where the nail grows. Take some tylenol!

It happened to me when I was way young. You will most likely lose your nail, but it will grow back, and before long your finger will return to its normal color, provided you are of normal health.

If you can move and bend it, give it a day to heal, and you'll be fine. If not, go to the doctor, it might be broken.
um well if your nail is all black and purple it MIGHT fall off....if it doesnt then its going to been bruised for a long time because finger nail bruises take the lonest to heal, i would put lots of ice on it and if you finger really really hurts, maybe go to a doctor JUST to make sure it isnt fractured or broken....hope i helped...good luck :)
it will be totally back to normal in 6 months. I said totally But you will see an approvement already in a couple weeks. If you are that concerned see a doctor.
yea i shut my finger in my door to my room and it turned black and depending how hard you hit it it will fall off or not. mine didnt...
Well, when I did it my finger burst open and it looked like hamburger meat. I went to the doctor and they gave me the option to get stitches or to forgoe them. I didn't get the stitches, but even six months later when I put pressure on the finger tip it hurt.
For you, your nail will probably fall off then grow back. Think of it as a nice story to tell people some day.
Put ice on it & if you think it is bad enough go to the emergency room. Depending on how bruised it get & exactly where the door got your finger there is always a possibility of loosing the fingernail but it will grow back if it does.
If your finger is throbbing around the nail, you may need to go to the ER and get a tiny hole drilled in the nail to release the blood, from under the nail. My husband hit his thumb with a hammer, and it would ease up during the day, then get worse at night, on the 3rd night, he went to the ER, and had that done, it relieved the pain. The nail finally came off, but a new nail was growing underneath, and we kept clipping the old one, until the new one came in.
Whatever you do, don't start using it to type on a keyboard immediately after injuring it. That could have dire consequences.
Actually, funny you should ask. My dad ran over his foot the other day and it was just as you described it. His toe was black and blue and he thought he broke it, but he didn't. All you can do is splint it to the next finger and give it rest. it will heal on its own, and it will continue to hurt. Ice will reduce swelling and aspirin for pain. keep it iced, try advil for the pain, and get an xray to rule out fracture.
