Well to prevent this from happening again I would suggest some dynamic and static stretches before and after your workout.

We sometimes forget the adverse affects that stretching has on muscle rehabilitation. I work out 3-5 days a week and I used to suffer from real bad muscle pains the following 2 days after my workout. Stretching is crucial for reducing pain and building truly healthy muscles.

Also, make sure you rest your muscles before your next workout. Intense pain is not a good sign as you could have overworked your muscles. Also re-evaluate your form to ensure that you are placing unncessary strain on your muscles.

I hope this helps and I hope your pain goes away soon!

these will help you unless you want to trust someone who only has to have access to a computer vs. medical professional. I don't take that chance with my health

Use icy hot, it's a life saver for me. And just make sure you are not pushing yourself so hard when you work out that you can't move. That will not help you get stronger that will make you pull a muscle and not be able to work out at all.

Also stretch a lot before you start heavily working out. It relaxes your muscles

Have you been too dr. Do you have sore muscle's alot..They have some stuff called ACTIV ON and it is great and works great

1) Rest your muscles, start off slow
2) Drink lots of water and make sure to do lots of stretching
3) Potassium in bananas helps reduce cramps, I'd give it a shot.

Basically, rest, bananas, and water
