If you lose your memory, how can you get it back?!

Question: For example, if you were in a bad car wreck and couldn't remember who you were. Would your memory just come back over time or all at once? Or would you have to have a trigger of some sort to jog your memory?

That's a total variable dependant on both the individual and the extent of the damage. Sometimes total recall a short time later, sometimes permanent memory loss, sometimes bits and pieces in the form of flashback when a similar even triggers it. I still get flashbacks of memories that were supressed in childhood very infrequently, but truth be told, I'd really rather not remember those things which is why they went out of my head in the first place.

If you have missing pieces, just remember (sorry) the past is past. The present is more important for it creates your future. Focus on this. Past memories will tend to themselves. I understand it is frustrating, but reality is? What is simply is. Wishing it otherwise will not make it so. It will only make us unhappy. No point in that, serves no purpose. Let the memories come or not... you just concentrate on today and get yourself better.

i dont remember.

I say that's what a Journal is for, just incase that ever happens, i'll read into my journal to remember all, (if i knew where it was)

You may see something that would remind you of the previous memory. Scientists have also recently invented something that unscrambles forgotten memories.

generally having something to trigger the memory is the best way to retrieve it...and it woudl prob come back slowly over time

buy memory pills from gnc, look at pictures to jog your memory, most likely it would come back over time

I don't remember LOL
