Question: this has happened twice this week and i lose almost an entire nights sleep over it because its so fustrating but i feel like bugs are crawling all over my body...
i am not a drug addict so the whole coming off drugs/alcohol is not even possible
but i really would like to know what i could do to stop this because i'm so restless right now.. all i want to do is sleep but i can't because when i lay down it occurs!

I am amazed at the jumping to conclusions people on this site do.
It sounds like you could have some mild neuralgia but very likely restless leg syndrome ( which is actually a specific neuralgia I believe..."neuralgia" being a general term)....which can effect more than legs. I get it in my arms too.
The cause could be any number of things. You should definitely be checked for diabetes which causes neuralgia.
That said...you might also have dry skin.
See your Doc and ask about diabetes, neuralgia and also restless leg syndrome.
The big signifier of restless leg syndrome is that you feel you need to move. It is generally pain in the legs or a sensation of itchiness, crawly, etc. For me it is pain.
It can be quieted with medications but you might get some relief right now by lowering the temperature in your bedroom.
Good luck.

that sucks...consider rehab?

maybe there really are bugs on you

could be restless leg syndrome. you need to talk with your doctor about this.

I know what you mean i believe this is related to restless leg syndrome even tho it happens all over. Talk to your Doctor. Good luck!

It could be from a condition related to restless leg syndrom, but it could be from a dry skin condition. If this is the case, try some of the lubricating creams like sarna, lubri-derm,etc.
