Either you have been using the hand too much and the hand has not healed. Is that possible? Or you do not have a enough calcium in your body to mend the breakage. This is more common in the elderly. I think you should talk to your GP to avoid any further speculation and find out what the problem is as soon as is possible.Good Luck.

Maybe you are still using your hand too much ...but really not enough information to say. Bones usually need about 6 weeks to heal...sometimes a little longer.

Low levels of vitamin C will slow healing, particularly fractures.

Eat lots of fruit and veg and/or take Vit C tablets.

it can be REALLY slow. just be sure you are doing everything you can to speed it along; also it might be that you need a 2nd opinion. my mom hurt her hand last SUMMER and it still hurts. there are a lot of little bones in there and a lot could go wrong.

Make sure you follow doctor's orders. If they want you to use crutches and not bear weight upon the leg, follow that closely. TThat ensures the best healing and speediest recovery.

If they put a rod inside, they most probably used screws to secure it. I have never heard of doing it any other way. Hmm.

If you are doubting your doctor's practicing, go to another one.
The femur is one of the most difficult to heal because it is so large and so much weight bears upon it.

You may need another surgery, but go see another doctor in your area to know for sure. The sooner you do this the better.
But everything will probably heal up fine!

Because its not broken.
It hasn't busted enough for your body to need to mend it. It still does its job and still takes the strain you give it in daily life.
I've no doubts its painful, but the body needs more than that to do something about it.

Unfortunately hospitals aren't in the business of breaking fractures so they'll heal, and if they did, the bones behind your fingers are notorious for not healing well and you losing your knuckles. And there's nothing any doctor will do to counteract that other than tape your fingers together, which does nothing.

When my hand broke, I craft a strap around it that put my hand in the same shape it was before I broke it.
Then it healed that way.
But the hospitals dont have anything like that.

See if they'll break it for you, but i'll be up to you to do the rest.

it may not have been set correctly. sometimes bones in your hand and feet can take longer to heal than most b/c you use them so much, unknowingly. check w/ your doc for addl help.

cause you insist on pushing it and using it eat some fish it might help the injury
