I know that the average adult temperature is 98.6 degrees?!

Question: At what temperature should you be alarmed?

Answers: At what temperature should you be alarmed?

Your temperature tends to rise when you are outside during hot days or during exercise or vigorous activity. 99 degree F body temperature is considered low grade fever. There maybe some underlying mild infection going on. When temperature goes above 101 degrees, then you have got to see a doctor. Antibiotics maybe prescribed. If your temperature goes beyond that, then it gets worse. 103 degree body temperature can cause your body system to shut down. Heart rate goes up, blood pressure drops because your blood vessels dilate, your breathing increases, you don't pee as much since you're dehydrated, you also get confused. It is that bad. Always be cautious about down playing increasing body temperatures, specially the ones that are unexplained. It maybe something worse than you think.

anything at or below 95.0!!!!!!!!! mine runs low 97.6...

98 - 100 is safe. after 100 you should see a doctor.

in a generally healthy adult, a temp is not considered fever until it's over 101...

in most adults an oral temp above 100 is when there is a fever present, for rectal or ear it is above 101. dont be alarmed just see a doctor or take something for it.
