How do you get to sleep?!


Question: I can't sleep. It's not a statement regarding tonight, it's a statement regarding my life. It's difficult. The most sleep I've gotten at one time in the last year was only like 5 hours and that doesn't happen often. I'm going insane and It's kinda messing up key aspects of my life. I often find myself staring at a ceiling in the dark for three hours a night. For the last month or two, I've only slept every other day. This sucks. Warm milk doesn't do anything and it tastes awful. I've stopped consuming caffeinated beverages during the week. When I sleep, I'm sure to wake every morning at 7. I just can't get tired. I just can't comfortable. I just can't sleep. Suggestions?

lavender oil on your pillow is good. Also don't watch any television or play computer games at least an hour before bed as it stimulates your mind.
Have a bath before you go to bed with a couple of drops of lavender oil in it to relax you and maybe have some camomile tea.
I have a real problem with insomnia and these things often help me.

try reading a book get your eyes tired....it helps...

Well reading my really boring history book helps sometimes. Also if you have a source of white noise that can help i always sleep with a fan on and it helps me drift off.

7:00 - 5 hours = 2:00.
2:00 - 3 hours (to fall asleep) = 11:00.

Answer - go to bed at 10:00pm or earlier.
