Pain towards the top of my left thigh, treatment and cause?!

Question: Ok, the pain is really the lower part of the left butt cheek and towards the top of my thigh, it happens while I'm laying down for a bit then I get up. It makes me tense up and not want to move me left leg at all. I'm concerned it could cause permanent damage, maybe from sitting too much? Please help..
...even thou it's a kinda awkward subject.

If it's on the left part of your thigh, it could be either musculoskeletal (like a pulled muscle) or sciatica (pinched nerve) either way the treatment is more or less the same: take NSAIDs for pain control (motrin, tylenol, etc.). If it seems to be getting worse, or if you start having numbness in your leg you should call your doctor.

Drugs are not a solution, read and apply http://www.helium.com/tm/148271
If you do so you will know exactly what the problem is and how to fix it.
