I never got one pulled, but i'm pretty shure they numb you first.

IT IS VERY PAINFUL IF NO ANESTHESIA....

I don't think I've ever gotten any of my teeth pulled out. I've always waited until it fell out despite it being annoying when it was loose in my mouth, but eventually my mouth would feel weird and viola, it was because the tooth increased in its probability of coming out--and it did. If you're patient, it will come out soon; but if you aren't, there's always the dentist. And no, you won't feel a thing, provided they give you something that will numb the pain. I suppose it also depends on how deeply rooted the tooth is, too.

I had my wisdom tooth pulled and after they sedated me, I didn't feel a thing, you'll be ok.

As most people DO ask and receive meds when having a tooth extracted..you will feel a pin prick when they do the initial injection...no big deal...you'll feel alittle "pressure" when the meds are numbing the area...then when the Dentist actually does the extraction..it's a "pressure" sensation you'll feel..not really pain!! You'll probably hear some cracking , the roots are being pulled out as well...I had to have ALL of mine extracted a few years ago, due to medication I have to take for pain..dried out my mouth so badly after several years, that I had to have them all removed and plates made...
I will WARN you...if you smoke...DONT while you're healing...avoid "messing" with the socket area with your tongue, though it's human nature to do it...just let it heal for a day or so...you should be fine..they'll put gauze in to help immediately after..Good luck!! You'll be fine!

They will numb your mouth first - you might feel that a little but you can ask for some gel to be put on your gum first. Probably more likely just to feel the pressure the dentist has to put on tooth. When he is doing this try and take deep breaths through your mouth, ask him to put some music on.

I have had a couple of teeth out - and I always take a paracetamol before hand to help.

If you accept that it might be painful after then at least you are not surprised if it does, but you may well be lucky and the pain of having your tooth out is far outweighted by the paid that you are having from it now!

Good luck :-)

You will be numb - ask for happy gas. you should feel pressure and pushing but no sharpness or pain. It will be sore in the spot for a few days but not extreme. I wouldn't stress about it. Happy gas makes it all worth it. :) It makes you tickle and float.
