Ordering Prescription Drugs From Canada? Good or Bad Idea???!

Question: I use a topical cream called Benzaclin to keep my skin clear. It costs about $100 to visit the dermatologist every 3 months. It is about another $100 to fill the prescription every month. My health plan does not pay for the dermatologist, or the medicine. The medicine is only 1 ounce for that price. It gets very expensive. I found the medicine online from Canada, for about $50. No Prescription necessary. Would it be a good idea to order it? Are there any dangers I should know about?

it is a fine idea. their regulations are as good if not better than the US's. if it's cheaper than go for it. it is the evil empires of insurance and drug companies that determine the prices, if it is from a different country it is the same quality, but less raped in price...granted it is a trustworthy country such as canada, or any European country

I have the same question, I have wanted to order myself from Canada but hesitate, if you find out let me know and I will do the same.

Well, you never know what you are going to get from a pharmacy no matter what the website states. Canada and the US have two very different forms of controlling medications and thier policies and procedures are different. I would stick with the US pharmacies and even go somewhere local if you can. The money saved buying from another country online, "without a prescription", is not worth the hassle of getting the wrong medication, dose, or something fake. Is saving 100 dollars worth your life?

Many people from Minnesota buy their meds from Canada. I have never done so because I only take a couple of meds.

Read this website and then decide. I personally think it is safe, but I am not a medical person. The U.S. wanted to pass a bill to stop U.S. citizens from getting meds in Canada. The FDA works in connection with the drug companies which can't stand to lose money to Canada. The bill never passed.

If it is salve for your face, I would sure take the chance. When you get it compare it with what you have been using. A drug company in Canada is recommended in the above website.
But read the whole thing before you decide. Hope this helps.

ive ordered drugs from amsterdam and they were good!

Well I'm Canadian and I'd say that if you ever happen to be in Canada, visit a Pharmacy to find what you want. If the ingredients are the same then it might be okay. Can you ask your doctor? We often go to the states and I found that Vitamins are cheaper at Vitamin World. then here in Canada, so now I would order on internet. Many people do come here for their prescriptions and they are save. If you could say which place is selling it,I may be able to tell you if the Company is okay. I think I'll look it up for my own curiosity.

what do U think?

I think these are not a good idea as I keep being bombarded with them, in my spam folder. How do we know if these are safe to use anyway if no prescription is required. By the way I live in England and prescriptions are expensive, but someone with certain conditions get theirs free. But as mine are not life threatening or considered to be one of those conditions I have to pay. It is not fair as I have to take rather a lot every day, but someone who has one of these exempt conditions and only takes one or two get theirs free.
