I'm pretty sure my right hand is fractured, what happens if I let it heal by!

Question: I've had fractures before. No big deal. I'm left-handed, and the only time the fracture bothers me is when I do push-ups. Will I be ok if I just let it heal on its own? I really don't want to have to go get x-rayed and get a cast, etc.

Depends on how bad it is. How did you get the injury?

I fractured a bone in my wrist from punching someone in the face and I just let it heal by itself and I am fine. It doesnt hurt when it rains or bother me at all, in fact I have punched a couple of more people in the face since then and it is a good as new.

In fact people that I have punched in the face before the injury and after say that my punch AFTER the injury seemed harder, so go figure.

it might not heal right and then you'd have a problem

No,,It may heal all wrong..You may need to have the bones reset to heal correctly...GO to the ER....
Even if you DO NOT find it too bad now as far as pain and usage..You are not doing anything good for your future yrs if you let it heal wrong.

it will heal but it will heal deformedd. oughh.

=]

rub some dirt on it, shake it out, you'll be ok

If you don't get a cast or it checked out, then you end up doing stuff wiht it then it might not heal as fast.

prrrrrobably not a good idea to leave it alone because it will probably get swollen or infected or something, then you will regret it and have to see a doctor anyways

You should get a cast because if you hurt it again the next couple of weeks then it might heal wrong and the docs will have to re-break it. It happened to my leg 2 years ago.

A cast will make it heal faster too and if you bump it on something you won't have to start over the healing process.

It could heal wrong. Go get an x-ray and cast

it could heal wrong or take longer. you need to get it x-rayed

if you dont get it in a cast when it heals your hand will prolly be crukid and might get infected...the same thing happened to my friend's dad when he was a kid and his thumb is all messed up now

I had a fracture in my arm and it wasnt detected by the hospital and xrays, my arms healed, but it gets really painful a lot of the time and I cant do the things i used to for very long.

As bothersome as it is you probably should get it x-rayed. I felt the same way about my foot during basketball season, and I just played easy on it and didn't pay it any mind. At the end of the season I had a crack at the bottom of my heal the size of a small pencil.

There is a possibility that it could heal wrong, where the boned don't like up right. It could lead to complications in the future and most likely arthritis.

If you don't set the break, it will not heal correctly and you will probably always have problems and/or pain with it.

if you let it heal without seeing doctor could heal wrong and then it would be bad.

someone I know broke/fractured one of her fingers...she didn't have a lot of money, so she let it heal by itself. It's fine now, but it's a bit crooked.

hope that helps!

if fractured you cant move it so immobilized that or it will poison your body , if sprain it will heal with time http://www.google.com/custom?hl=en&clien...

if it's really bad then it's going to bother you. it would be best if you see a doctor. it would heal faster if you do get a cast. if you really dont want a cast then maybe you can tell your doctor you don't want one

firstly it depends o how long ago you did it!!!! it might well be starting to knit back together!!!!! secondly you might end up with a deformed hand !!!!!!!! but if your left handed and you don't care about a deformed hand!!!! why should i!!!! but me personally i think both my hands are priceless!!!!!!! think about it!!!!!

may be crooked

The best thing to do would be to get it checked out if it is fractured then you will probably need a cast and letting it just heal could worsen it .

you need to go to the er and get an xray and if its broken get a cast or at least a splint on it or it will heal wierd and hurt worse most likely

hmm whats worse

a lifetime with an injured hand
or
a few weeks with a small cast or splint on your hand
