TMJ trouble?!
Question: I have the "classic "symps. of TMJI went yesterday to an oral surgen. He said my wisdom teeth need out, and that I only needed a bite gaurd at night , which is to be made ASAP.
Today, I went to an orthodontest to get the gaurd made. He looked at my mouth, and said my jaw is starting to slide over, and that a night gaurd is needed, BUT I needed a day time gaurd also to fix my jaw, and to keep pressure off of it.
I'm waiting on a call back from the oral surgen to see his opinion on it.
Will two gaurds have to be remade when my wisdom teeth come out? Also, Who is right, in your opinion?

i think the orthodontest because u do most of the moving of your jaw during the day time when you eat and you cant fix ur jaw alignment over night
