Are Insurance Companies making Losses more difficult to claim?!

Question: Ex: I went to the ER for a ligitimate emergency. A month later I got a bill from the hospital saying that my insurance wasn't covering the visit. I called my Ins. Co. and they put me through the ringer to determine exactly how much pain I was in and to find out if I had been to the ER before for the same reason..

Duh, if they pay claim then they don't make a profit. So, the more claims are denied the more money they make.

They probably reject a majority of the claims and hope that you don't question it. The ones, like you, that actually protest it, get the run around. If you still persist, then they pay your claim. But, by then, about 80% of most people will have given up. Cha-ching for the insurance companies.

Insurance companies are crooks. ALL of them! They collect premiums and then do not deliver the services promised when you file a claim. I don't know what they call that now, but it used to be referred to as "embezzlement", a/k/a "a felony".
