i have been getting migranes since grade 4 ( grade 9 now) and the doctors dont know why! trust me i have spent more than 30 hours in hospitals doing tests & mri`s and cat skans... its crazy!

i have migrane pills. they stopped making my old ones ( which worked wayyyyyyy better) but now i use these ones made from flowers. they smell sooooo gross & are really hard to swallow... but it helps them. i take 2 a day.

what triggers my migranes is the weather. like when the tempature goes from hot to cold... or even when i just walk out into the cold ( in ther winter) after being inside. also... when it rains!!

people call me the weatherman :p lol because i know when its gonna rain.

trust me ... i feel your pain... literally..

just turn the lights off take an advil & try to get some sleep

TYLENOL EXTRA STRENGTH... ehh pop in a few extra than what the label says.

no dont wait to do to the doctors it could be a brain tumor..this happened to my great grandmother

It could be a number of things. Could be your eyesight
or maybe caffafine.
Sometimes the doctor can give you meds to help . certain smells can do it to. Like if you have cnadles or perfume.
Try and notice what time of day and what you are doing around that time to see if you can find some similarites

I would suggest seeing a doctor and seeing what he or she says. In the meantime, try to drink more fluids and avoid stressful or overly loud environments.

yes the doctor can give you something. Go to the doctor, they will want to run tests to rule out any thing else that could be life threatening

I'm not sure what triggers mine, but whatever migraine meds you end up with, over the counter or not, the best thing I've found additionally is those gel filled eye masks that you keep in your fridge. Buy a few of them. They only stay cool for about 10 minutes or less, so you'll want a few to alternate. It really helps me!

I know sometimes people have migranes because they suffer from anaemia. My advice would be eat more foods with iron and I know that magnesium is a good treatment for migranes (for hangover too).

I'm the same way i get migraine's like crazy. mines are due to a lack of eating and low iron... u might want to start taking vitamins or if you don't have your appetite anymore at least eat healthier foods to substitute.

Hi, I am a nurse and suffer from migraines.

I would keep track how many times a day.

What time it starts and how long it lasts.

If you get an aura.........

what you ate

i would do this for about a month........

Triggers can be * Skipping meals
chocolate, hormones or lack there of, and different foods.........

Migraine attacks may be triggered by:

* Allergic reactions
* Bright lights, loud noises, and certain odors or perfumes
* Physical or emotional stress
* Changes in sleep patterns
* Smoking or exposure to smoke

* Alcohol
* Menstrual cycle fluctuations, birth control pills
* Tension headaches
* Foods containing tyramine (red wine, aged cheese, smoked fish, chicken livers, figs, and some beans), monosodium glutamate (MSG-they use this in chinese restaurants), or nitrates (like bacon, hot dogs, and salami)
* Other foods such as chocolate, nuts, peanut butter, avocado, banana, citrus, onions, dairy products, and fermented or pickled foods

For me it is hereditary..........

And it is caused by stress and worry.

Feel better!

Being on the computer and bright lights can also be triggers.
