Unfortunalty, you can't just make it better. You better see a doctor ASAP! Sure this isn't a heart attack or anything that you should be rushed to the Emergency Room or anything but you should defininitly see a doctor! Have you iced it or anything? Here's a quick story that might help. In November 2007, I broke my pinky in Volleyball in class and I went to the hospital because I couldn't touch it or bend it or anything. I found out it was my first broken finger... which wasn't good and I thought that I would just have a splint, have it heal and not have any pain.
Well guess what
I was wrong
The splint was just making it worse for my finger and I ended up getting surgery on it. (By the Way, I was 10!) I had 2 nasty pins in it and I had them from December 12- January 17. My finger is STILL not completly healed although the pins are out. I have Physical Therepy STILL to this day, but you know, that's why I got it checked from a doctor.
I'm not trying to scare you or anything but I'm just saying, you never know.
I hope this was helpful and Good Luck.
On your finger and Your Basketball Game! =)

go to the doctor and get it checked out

A doctor may help :) Get well soon.

If still hurts after 6 days, you'd better go to a doctor, there might be a little fracture there.

tape it to the other finger

its probably broken you should go to the doctor and get some x rays because if u play it will probably make it worse

Take your self to a Dr. and get it looked at. You may have broke it/fractured it or just may need it splint.
You cant heal it any faster, then the natural way.
But it really may need to have a splint on it to keep it in place.

You can tape it to an other finger. That's what the doc is going to if it's broken. Just use medical tape and don't wrap to tightly as to cut off circulation. Keep it taped, even during your game. You could ice it once it's wrapped but be careful not to over do it.

fingers are retevaly fragle so like everyone else says i would go to the docter it it herts that bad. i would also use ice and pain killers. and doent move it too much. if its spraned or broken you could go to the drug store and by a finger sling for it (i doent know what it is called). the cast for the finger would look like a bit of metal with blue foam for comfort.
