Doctors now is your time! whats should i do??!

Question: i was skiing in Steamboat, Colorado and i took a tumble, the orthopedic surgeon said that i seperated my shoulder on the 2nd degree/level. He gave me a sling to wear, but he said that it was just for my comfort. So i figured that i could play badmition( im right handed) because i wouldnt really use my left arm so much. But now it hurts more than ever, its a sore kind of pain, not shap and it goes across my collar bone, and i can tell that my collar bone isnt in the right position. Should i be wearing my sling 24/7? I also have to go to school in hallways where i get shoved around, there just too crowded.
what should i do?

The separation has nothing to do with the bone and is not in your shoulder joint. Not following the doctors advise could have caused it to become a stage 3 which is going to hurt and take a lot longer to heal. with a separated shoulder it is importanted to wear the sling

I'm not going to confront the doctors' part, because I am no way capable of doing that. But for school, maybe ask your teacher if you can leave a minute or two early so that you can beat the crowd. I know my school would let kids do it if they were on crutches, so they would be able to get through the halls. And if you go back to the dr (I think you should), get them to write you a note saying that you should be able to leave class early.

See a doctor and get it xrayed. It may have not healed properly or another injury may have taken place. Wearing a sling if the bone was reinjured could allow defective healing which could require breaking your bone in the hospital to set it. See you doctor do not take the chance.
