I just cant relax to sleep, any Ideas ???!

Question: For some reason When I try to sleep every night I get into bed and I have to move like I would seriously say about 20 or more times , i just cant sit still. like I will move my pillow and my head so many times and i fix my sheets and blankit over and over again , and i will move my leg and ajust myself so many times I just cant stop untill I get so tired from the moving. Is this part of my OCD OR Is this just what people do.
And I also have to make the Bed Before I get into it , I just cant get in and fall asleep. This is really taking a tole on me. I just cant get relaxed. I have to do it every night. And I tell myself just lie down and sleep but I just cant. And then when I know Im about to move and fix the Pillow I say to myself just forget it and sleep but then I will be anxcious till I do it.
I will even get out of bed and fix the sheets to the way I like it till I just cant do it anymore.
Its so bad My husband wont even sleep with me. And I sleep with 10 pillows no lie

I would go to a doctor and make sure there isn't something wrong. Assuming there isn't, there are several things you can do. (I have a similar problem, and these help me).

First, make sure you get some good, physically exhausting exercise every day. Especially at the beginning, see if you can walk or jog till you feel like dropping.

Second, cut back on sugar, caffeine and salt. I know someone has already advised that you cut them out, but that is difficult to do, i think we'd all agree. So try just cutting back. If you normally have two cups of coffee in the morning and a Coke for lunch, try having just one cup, or (if you brew your own) having half caff and half decaf in each cup. Then drink only half the Coke, or switch to Caffeine free Coke. The same with sugar and with salt.

Third, when you get into bed, lie perfectly flat and tense every muscle in your body. Then slowly un-tense, one area at a time. Start with your neck and go down to your feet. Do this several times over.

Finally, don't watch TV right before you go to bed. It doesn't require as much effort as a book and you're not as sleepy. Read a book and have a cup of chamomile tea or roobios tea (an African tea). Both of them have mild relaxing properties.

One last thing that has helped me is to pick a busy daydream and stick to it as I lie there. Otherwise, I'll be thinking about everything in the world--from the laundry to the elections to whether I might be getting the flu. Something like building your dreamhouse!

Hope you can get to sleep!

may be you should waste more energy outside playing or working

change ur diet. less caffine sugar and other energy stuff get out more.go for a walk or go shopping just to get out.; listen to some relaxing music before goin to bed! if u hav something on ur mind tell some one!

Read a book befor bed time.
