Seeing black spots?!

Question: A few times a week I will start to see black spots. When this happens I generally feel really weird. I get really tired and light headed. It lasts for a few minutes but I'm always very tired afterwards. I have a family history of diabetes, is this a symptom of it? I went to the doctor but she said I was young (I'm in my mid-twenties) and to keep an eye on it. She did no blood work, no urine test... nothing. I feel like she blew me off. To me, this is not normal and just started within the last few months. This happen to anybody else? What was the cause? I'm female if that matters.

Monitor your food and liquid intake.

Are you experiencing any diabetic side effects? (see webmd.com)

If so, go see a different doctor. You might even do better to see an endocrinologist than a general practitioner, if your symptoms warrant.

You are right. Your symptoms are not normal. As much as I can tell from your writing, they are probably not related to diabetes, but more of a hypovolemic condition. (see webmd.com)

Webmd.com also offers a 'symptom tracker'. You can enter your symptoms, and it comes back with some possible conditions related to what you enter.

Good luck. No matter what, do not give up on your symptoms. When you see your next doctor, insist on a blood work-up.

Did you consult your optomitrist?

My friend had "floaters" and she was finally diagnosed with MS.

It could be floaters but then again it seems like your blood pressure is either low or high. Have someone take your blood pressure.

blood test that ****..!

you're probably anemic dear...take iron supplements and see if it improves

that's what was wrong with me

especially happens around my period...
