Abdominal nerve pain to due a fall? Burning feeling....?!

Question: Long story short...I fell in the bathroom and hit my abdomen against the tub...three days later I had a scheduled gallbladder surgery. Evern since then, I have had a burning feeling from my stomach to my sternum. It got so bad, I went to the ER. They did so many G.I. tests and everything was normal. They determined that I had nerve damage due to the fall I had. The doctors put me on Lyrica and I am using some pain medications as needed.
It has been three weeks and I am still feeling pain. Has anyone experienced this? How long does it take to heal? I am anxious to get back to work but don't want to until I get the pain under control. Any suggestions?

Depends on whether the nerve damage was permanent or not. I have nerve damage due to a cervical spine injury and I have been in a pain management program for years.

Neurontin is one of the medications I take that has been very successful in my case. Here is a link to info on it
