Stress Fracture on Not?!

Question: I have been feeling pain in my lower back for around two weeks. It started only hurting during my floor and beam due to my flexiblity in my back. The pain was on both sides of my lower back and then shifted to only the right and is now on the left. Is this a stress fracture or just something in the muscle?

This is def not a stress fracture. They are extremely rare in the lower back and you would not have pain moving from one side to another. This movement of pain tells me that it must be soft tissue. Lower back pain can be related to tight hamstrings or muscular imbalances in the back. Make sure you stretch alot when you do exercise and also try to stay mobile dont just lie around and wait for it to heal. Try to walk as much as possible stopping every 10-15 minutes to stretch it out. Good Luck with it!

sounds like the joint in your pelvis. at one point or another you must have pulled it without knowing. it comes back to haunt you if you are under stress or for me, i can't lay flat on the floor without it seizing up and hurting like hell. then i can't get up without getting creative in how i'm going to do it.

using a tight band around that area helps.

I would definately not vote for it being a stress fracture or a fracture of any kind. Several possibilities is a back strain or sprain, or a herniated disc or a pinched nerve. i would recommend icing it and if you still have pain go to a dr or visit one right now you never want to take chances with your back.
