Hip and leg cramps before labour starts?!

Question: has anyone experienced hip and leg cramps before labour started. I am 38 weeks pregnant and I do get what I think are really painful braxton hicks contractions and painful back ache. they aren't really steady yet.. about every 20 minutes or 30 minutes.. But having cramping in my legs and hips is a new thing.. I am being watched very closely by my docs as I have very high blood pressure. So I will be seeing them again on Monday.. But I was just curious.. Thanx for input. :)

That is not indicative of oncoming labor. You should go to the hospital if you have any of the following:
Contractions every 3-5min for >1hr
Bleeding
Water breaks
Can't feel baby moving
Extreme pressure in the vagina
Loss of mucus plug is NOT an indication of oncoming labor either.
OB/GYN RN

oh yes that is how my labor started!!!! CONGRATS!!!!:)
