Burned my wrist whilst cooking?!

Question: Just cooked pork chops... the fat spat and I burned the inside of my wrist. Then I made it worse by putting it under tap which shot out boiling water. I put frozen peas on it but its red and sore. Doesnt warrant going to hospital, apart from aloe vera (which I don't have) what can I put on it?

HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA
LMFAO
You mug

just keep putting cold things under it

It happens to me sometimes, I also use lavender oil.

wrap it up in that first aid bandage stuff with a pack of ice.

ice pack or ice cubes or something freezing

or snow if its cold where u live

Cold water / ice pack. I'm just healing after a similar episode. If it forms a blister, resist the temptation to pop it and then it'll go away by itself.

Vinegar will take the sting away. Cold water, ice etc need to be applied immediately to physically remove the heat from the area which stops the burn deepening.

Added later. There is some rubbish on your answers. Dont put greasy substances on a burn. This will only fry it. Assuming the skin is not broken, vinegar or any spirit that evaporates (obviously not petrol or meths etc) will ease the sting. The important thing is to remove the heat as soon as possible and then ease the discomfort.

Colloidal Silver from your local vitamin store

Wrap your wrist in cling film, it`s the air getting to your burn that is causing the pain. Dont wrap too tight, and leave over-night.

Hold it under cold water for 20 minutes. Cover it with a clean bandage and leave it alone.

DON'T put vinegar on it - it's acetic acid and it will hurt like Hell.

Get a spray called "Burn Eze" from your local pharmacy and keep it with your first aid box (which you should have in the kitchen). Keep the burn covered and cooled, don't pop any blisters.

If you have tumeric (haldi)in the house put some of that on it.Tumeric is in burnoil ointment used for such accidents.

Don't put any oily substance on it. Try applying an antiseptic cream, such as Savlon or Germolene, and just leave to heal itself.

Hope this helps.

You've done all you can. Put a light dressing on it and keep it covered for a few days. If you don't have lint and a bandage, put a little moisturiser on a clean handkerchief and put that on the burn, then bind it up with a scarf ot whatever you've got.

put vinigar it will stop the burn!!!!
bet a bowl and soak your wrist in it.

butter will work - it soothes the pain...works everytime on burns...NEVER put under cold water - one extreme to another that the body is not prepared for and results in a minor body trauma...

butter all the way...

Buy a aloe vera plant for the future. The stuff inside is the best stuff is the best stuff you could possibly use for burns.

This is a destiny suggestion to become vegetarian. ;OD
You can put on hypericus oil.

I used to work in a kitchen with a lot of chinese women. When they got burns they would wrap it in lettuce leaves then plastic wrap.
Don't use ice, it is too cold, it shocks your skin.

20 min w/ something cold on it 20 min w/out

If you have reg white distilled vinegar use it. Soak a napkin in it rap it around your wrist. It sticks but it will take the burn out in just a few minutes.
