Can somebody please help me fall asleep at night.?!

Question: insomnia

Answers: insomnia

A number of diet and lifestyle issues can make a big impact on whether or not you sleep at night. The non-prescription pills tend to leave me really drowsy the next day. I've tried all of them, plus Melatonin and Valerian. None of them worked that well and all left me feeling groggy.

Try some of these until you figure out what works for you.
1. Avoid daytime naps like the plague. If you must, keep it under 20 mins.
2. A daily exercise regimen works wonders, but keep anything that raises your heartbeat to mornings or afternoon. My doctor suggested 45 mins of low intensity (think walking) in the evenings to burn off any extra adrenaline so sleep comes easier.
3. Sex...despite the adrenaline, works great for most.
4. Create a conducive, peaceful sleeping room. Read before bed, or listen to gentle music, perhaps TV on a timer. TV on all night can prevent deep sleep.

Diet tips:
1. Keep caffeine to a morning thing or cut it out altogether. Be sure to read labels as there may be caffeine where you didn't expect it, like sodas and chocolate.
2. Avoid eating late at night, or if you must, keep it light and high protein.
3. I read once where a lot of insomnia is caused by acid reflux, even when the person doesn't feel pain. #1 culprit was soda. Soda's bad for you anyway, abolishing it completely will help your body all day long, but at a minimum, don't drink it at night.

Good luck.

count backwards from 10000 by 13's it'll work

Have you tried Tylenol PM? Benedryl will also make you drowsy and my doctor told me it was one of the safest things you can take to help you sleep. Even pregnant women are okay to take Benedryl, it's that safe.
Good luck!

Drink a glass of water. Watch some porn. Masturbate. Go to bed. Turn out the light. If you need a little noise going in the background, just turn on Coast to Coast A.M., and leave it on:
