If the diarrhea was caused by a bug or food poisoning you could well be re-infecting yourself.

Clean everything (use disinfectant). Eating utensils, and anything you might touch. As you are male, clean the toilet and sinks as you need to touch those...

Throw out any food that is beyond it's use-by date. Throw out any food that should have been refrigerated and has been left out of the fridge.

Wash all fruit and vegetables before eating.

Switch to a very bland diet, no dairy, nothing rich, drink pints of water and flush the bug out of your system.

If the reason is something you ate that your system is disagreeing with, then try to identify the foods you have eaten during the week and try removing them from your diet and see if the queasyness goes away.

You could also be developing an allergy, the "removing food-groups" method is a good way of diagnosing this.

Other than that, be sensible. Let your system recover BEFORE overloading it with a "normal" diet.

In the mean time, peppermint tea, and mint in general, can help settle a queasy stomach.

Note: if there is any reason that the diarrhea might have been caused by food poisoning, do NOT under any circumstances use any medication to stop the diarrhea. You absolutely MUST allow your body to flush the toxins out of your gut.

Edit: Oh yes, and no alcohol...

i think there is prblm with ur meal. to get cure, make a cup of thick tea without sugar n drink it. i will work.try n see......

I don't know exactly what caused it, but if it is a bug in your house, you are probably reinfecting yourself when you touch door handles / towels...

You need to wash all your towels that have been out in use since your first bout of sickness.... and also door handles / worksurfaces and the like!

Sorry you are poorly btw. Hope you feel better soon x

Almost surely something you ate. If so, it'll pass quickly. If it persists you should probably call a doctor.

There are various over-the-counter pharmaceutical remedies for the symptoms. Bananas are anti-diuretic; pomegranates are even stronger.

There are several causes. Virus, bacteria, parasites, and even the food you eat can all cause it. You might get it from a major case of anxiety.

You might want to go to a doctor to have your stool analysed to verify that you don't have a major problem.

If it is food-related, for example, you just pigged out on figs, prunes, or just had a quart of dark grape juice, then moderate the amount of natural diaretics you consume.

If you have ruled out any disease or food cause, then your next bet would be anxiety. Discuss this with a trained pro.

Kaopectate. Anti-diarrhea medicine available at any drug store or Wal-Mart

You should probably find out the cause of your diarrhea by seeing a doctor if it persists. As other people said, you probably shouldnt use medication such as IMMODIUM because you want ur body to flush out the toxins and diarrhea flushes out toxins. Immodium will stop your diarrhea, but will not treat the cause.

BUT if you really need it to stop try this next step.

If you have bad diarrhea and you want it to stop for a day or two, you can buy a medication called IMMODIUM.

It has an opioid narcotic in it which stops your diarrhea. The narcotic is called Loperamide.

Loperamide is narcotic but does not cross the blood-brain barrier and will not make you "high" or an addict.

All it does is make your diarrhea stop.
