Getting brackets next week...?!
Question: i just got my spacers out today..
thank god
and they put brackets on today and took a mold for my expander.
then they took the brackets out and i went home.
nothing hurts now cause nothing is in my mouth.
but next Wednesday i get my spacers back in for another week.
and thennn when the week is over i get the expander.
any advice for this expander thing?
i heard it hurts a lot!

Oh geeze! They gave me an expander, but I wouldn't wear it, so they gave me a permanent one that they glued in my mouth. Umm for that, you really just gotta get used to it. You gotta learn how to talk and especially eat, because its really hard to eat when your teeth are covered. Mine hurt so bad for a week or so, I only ate soup, and I actually lost weight, because I didn't eat. Hopefully it won't be that bad for you. If it is really bad, take some motrin, and maybe go get a slurpee or have some ice cream or something. Eat soft foods too.
I had the expander for several months. It's more annoying than painful. Something like Advil or Motrin will help.
