Don't you think there's a lot of hypochondriacs on here ??!

Question: Seems to be too many folks with too much time on their hands who pretty self-obcessed with any odd ache & pain they get.

Answers: Seems to be too many folks with too much time on their hands who pretty self-obcessed with any odd ache & pain they get.

Yes and they cant stand taking good advice either-which is also part of their problem.

Not really

Don't know as I'm never in the hypochondriac section :)

i love reading those ones - i wonder if some have a medical dictionary out so that they can read up on symptoms for themselves!

i agree with self obsessed

Actually I think there is. My aunt is one. And she just bugs the hell out of me. if something is wrong with you the she has something worse. She has supposedly had breast cancer 3 times a tumor somewhere. Its like are you serious. People if this is a way to get attention plz find a different way to do. Because i'm sure people around you are really getting sick of it. I know i would be.

But yes i actually think in ways there are.. Some of the stuff people ask are just common since. But hey everyone wants a little attention but sometimes goes the wrong way about it.

I think it's good that people can ask for a second opinion from strangers online, why not- if somethings doing your head in? so to answer, probably not.

people are not feeling good so they come on here for advice where is the problem with that?

shush your mush lav :P

I wish i could take a pill to make them all go away.

Possibly.
Incidentally, if hypochondriacs aren't actually ill, why is it classed as an illness? Just a thought......

Most people worry about their health at some time, and everyone has health questions. You can't always ask a professional about everything.

The trouble with the web is that it is totally undiscriminating. There are just too many answers for every question, and though I have access to reliable professional sites, even these require discrimination and an underlying level of background knowledge.

The other problem is that if you have any medical symptom, disease or complaint, 3/4 of all the sites that come up are there solely to sell you some quack remedy and separate you from your money, and very successful they are too, which is why there are so many of them!

So what is your excuse for being on these pages, eh or are you just sad taking the mick out of other's ill health and nothing better to do?

Never mind, what goes around, comes around.

The NHS, unless you are blessed with loads of pennies and can afford private, have a great deal of limitations in providing the necessary health care, for all the nations ailments.

GP - general practioner, means just that: they have generalist experience and the luck of the draw is:

1 - how long have they been qualified and in general practice

2 - what experience they have attained from the patients ill health complaints

If you have something that doesn't conform to the standard list of symptoms. Then, unless you are lucky, and the GP has come across these symptoms - then you may face months/years of visits to a GP before you are given an accurate diagnosis and worse still... treatment.

Therefore, web pages like these are a useful place to ask questions, share thoughts and diagnoses, and better still share treatments.

No, this web site is not a cure-all and at the end of the day, proper medical consultation is required. However, most folk on these pages have common sense and can take advantage of useful suggestions to help them out.

Your problem is that "you haven't been there." Like most things in life, until you wear the T-shirt...

Btw - obcessed is spelt obsessed...

I think there is nothing wrong with worrying about your health and if people want other peoples opinions then fair play, it is what this site is here for.

yes, and far too many people that think they can lose 2 stones in a week.

Please don't disturb me I'm ill.

I never use words that I cannot spell?
