Frequent muscle spasms. I am in pain here. Need advice.?!


Question: I often wake up with a very soar back and have grown used to it after finding, (via an MRI) that I have a bulging disc. Chriopractic care and Physical therapy only made the condition worse, so I have grown to live with it. However, recently I am having frequent Charlie horses in my calves and this morning woke up with muscle spasms in my neck sholder and upper back. I am 54 and constantly on a diet, but am only about 5 to 10 lbs over weight. Is something lacking in my diet? Any natural remedies would be appriciated. I apply heat and also meditate each morning. I am not a tense uptight person.

I think you should consider a lack in the dietary area. Also, consider drinking more water.
Its possible the disc is causing you to move or not move in a way the muscles are rebelling and cramping.
Perhaps your doctor can offer some help.

Your body is lacking potassium. Eat more bananas. Also, make sure that you stretch before going to bed.

calcium deficiency can cause spasm. in your age you should talk calcium caltrate+vitamin D.
