Hey i need professional advise on my adductor muscle? please!?!


Question: i breakdance and was doing headspins (wich contracts the adductor muscle) i injured it 3 year ago and the injury keeps coming back to me. my physio cant find anything wrong, but it hurts if i do moves that contract it alot.i rested for 5 week but its not better. have i permantley damaged myself or is there still a chance of it to heal?

I would avoid activity that stresses the adductors for a few more weeks. Once the pain decreases begin some strengthening exercises. Try doing some more strengthening of that adductors as well as the rest of the hip muscles so that you don't create a muscle imbalance which can lead to further injury. I would also stretch all of the muscles of the hip ( ie... Quads, hamstrings, IT Band, and adductors) and the calves as well. And if things dont improve go see an orthopedist.
