First two answers seemed pretty helpful here. (Not sure about number 3...) Also, keep an eye on this. It's PROBABLY muscle strain/brusing, but if you're not seeing improvement soon you might want to have a Dr. take a look just to make sure.

It sounds to me like it is just strained. You have put your muscles through a lot and now they will take a while to heal. Try using ice packs 20 min's on and 20 off.

If it gets worse go to the doctor.

after an injury it is important to put ice packs on it for 20mins a couple times during the day. Don't apply heat. I actually started going to the chiro yesterday and learned helpful things etc. Maybe try icy-hot or biofreeze. Make an appointment w/ a masseuse..massages work wonders!!

I could give you the best massage ever and you will not have to pay me...it is my pleasure to make others feel better (please innocent thoughts only)

Ice (as mentioned) could be very beneficial, but don't use it more than 15 mins four times a day. Longer than 15 mins, you run the risk of skin damage (frost bite). If it doesn't resolve in another day or two, I would suggest going to see a chiropractor. Good luck!!
