I have this really bad chest pain, HELP?!

Question: I was cleaning house, i didn't do it to fast i took my time, but then I sat down and took a break. In that break I had a smoke. I was just fine, i was on the phone with my mom and then i got off about 15 to 20 minutes later. Then i had this bad chest pain located in my upper chest. It was hard to breathe, every time I would breathe in or swallow liquid, it would hurt, as if someone was stabbing me in my heart area. So i took very little breaths, shortness of breath. I tried to lay down and relax but I still had the pain. It started at 3:00 now its about 7:25 and it still hurts. I don't know what it could be or what it is. I don't think its a heart attack im only 17 could it be?

well im 16 and i had a really bad chest pain before too...i felt like i could never breathe!! i went to the docter and he told me it was stress...i dont think its a heart attack. i smoke too and obviosly tht already shortens your breathe but its not tht either, it could just be stress even from like 2 years ago.

If it is still hurting after 4 hours then you need to go to the docs asap.

it could be a pulled chest muscle ? If you feel faint and it gets worse go to the hospital

I do think you need to go to the ER and get checked out

This advice may be a bit late but go to the docs as soon as possibl even if it goes off, then if anything happens in the future he can see you`ve had it before and act accordingly.
Good luck I hopethings are OK.

See doc could be panic attack but best to check

What did you eat? If you ate a lot of high fat foods or spicy foods it could be a gall bladder attack. It also depends on how old you are but whatever the circumstances you should contact your doctor because chest pain can be very serious. Call ASAP even if it's just to rule out anything serious. Please don't wait.

I had those pains (which i'm sure are smoking related) 2 weeks back. Since giving up, they've now completely gone and i can breath much better. Please give up, we all know what smoking does now. It's killing family members left right and centre. You only have one life friend, don't blow it away (pardon the pun)

Go get an examination by either your GP (on call or in a surgery) or go to hospital. Pain is a warning that something is wrong with your body, don't delay. ACT NOW and please post a reply to say that you're ok tomorrow

Sounds like a pulled muscle to me
or bursitus, see your Dr. to be sure.

it could be heartburn, i've heard that it can get so bad that it feels like there is something wrong with you, like you're having a heart attack. I got heartburn once scared the hell out of me thought i was having a heartattack. Try tablets or medicine for hearburn that should work. But if your worried go to the docs especially if it doesn't go away.

Chest pain is always given preference in the A and E. Go to see your Doctor ASAP if it happens again go th the A and E. Age has nothing to do with it !?!?.

If you are still alive and are able to read this; I have no sympathy at all for you . You smoke, you know you shouldn't for your health. What you are experiencing is only a small foretaste of things to come. I have never smoked. It is not clever or big to do so.

u should probably take some bayer aspirins i think.. the next time u got to the doctors u should really ask

This could possibly be esophageal. Your esophagus (the tube that takes food to the stomach) may be feeling the reflux of excess stomach acid splashing back up which can be very painful. Consider what you've recently eaten last.
Try an antacid and avoid anything for the night with acid such as citrus juices or spicy foods.
I found "Alka-Seltzer for Heartburn Relief" to give almost instant relief when I've had pain of this nature. If you don't have an antacid, get a milkshake or some ice cream.
If it continues, see a Dr.

If you are really worried go to A&E!! Chest pain can be very serious, my uncle had a heart attack last year VERY SUDDENLY! I would always get checked out to be sure xxx
