Blistering on hands from the exercising?!

Question: I use a rowing machine 2 or 3 times a week, and often lift weights (not particularly heavy ones). I'm finding that the skin on the palms of my hands is starting to blister (just where the palm joins the fingers).

Should I just ignore it and carry on? (on the assumption that the skin will harden a little of its own accord, and the problem will then stop). Or maybe I'm using the wrong grip? (although if I change my grip, it feels uncomfortable which may be a sign that it's 'wrong'). Any other suggestions?

Gloves. Simple. you can buy the correct type from any fitness shop.

if it bothers you wear gloves. if not they will turn to calluses eventually

Yes a likely story
Everyone knows how you got those blisters
Admit it

Surgical spirit will toughen the skin up, however maybe wearing fingerless cycle gloves will help.Put some baby talc on before you put the gloves on to absorb moisture.

I would buy some good weight lifting gloves if I were you. Ignoring the problem won't help, because as you continue to row will only make matters worse.

just keep on doing what your doing it might be occasionally painful or just a pain in the ***...but you will build caluses quickly and then you won't even notice then workout's effects at all.

Get yourself a good pair of exercise gloves! Your hands will thank you for it!

I suffer the same problem from pulling the head off it.

go buy some good fitting gloves.
