Does anyone know if this is normal?!

Question: I was diagnosed with two (bad) ear infections on Monday. I'm on antibiotics, but have been having some problems? I "hear" a roaring, or beating in my head constantly. Almost like a heartbeat? And my ear has been draining. Because of this, my hearing has been a little "off.." not gone, but not like it was just a few days ago..

Does anyone know what caused this, or what it is?

Should I be worried, or should it go away on its own?

those symptoms are directly related to severe ear infections. They should go away as the infection clears up. If all symtoms are not gone when the meds are done, go to the doctors again...some people need a second course of meds to clear it up 100%

well i have dealed with this but when i took ibrophrofine i bled from my ears nose and mouth .If u have hit ur head it could be a blood clot. Also it could be an ear problem i would say see a doctor if it dont stop plus wait a couple of weeks after u have started takeing meds cause it takes time to get in ur system

Probably you I-pod, turn it down.

It's from the fluid building up, it's common. Painful, but it won't cause any permanent damage.
The roaring/beating you hear is blood flow - and it's doing what it should, you just don't normally hear it.
Within 24 hrs you should start to feel a difference - esp if you can feel the pressure, too.

it is quite ordinary. it will go away after the infection is gone.

i couldnt tell you. but the answers above me seem pretty good enough.

just answered to say...

hope it gets better.

happy valentines day.
