Question: We have the finger still, I put it on ice because that is what they do in movies. Can the doctor still sew it back on like in the movies? She is no Bruce Willis and does not have the stamina to carry on like it was nothing, so I am afraid it may be too late.

No, your good. it will grow back. Unlike the movies where they waste time by putting it on ice and sewing it back on, just leave it. After the bleeding stops in a bit just give it ,oh about a week and it will be fully back again.

wait a few more minutes and ask some questions on other boards. have you tried MSN Answers, its a really cool site. Once you check that out, have a sandwich or some soup and if your wife hasn't already bled to death, you might want to walk slowly to the nearest emergency room. no rush, its just a finger.
get to the ER immediatly...... putting the finger on ice was great but now u need to stop the bleeding and get her to the hospital NOW... as long as it was a clean amputation they should be able to reattach
