1 glass= 250ml
8 glasses= 2000ml

so we should be drinking 2000ml a day.

a lot of this water can come from other foods as well, i would say try and drink at least 6 glasses and if you need more then do so!

hope this helps ;) x

You know those long, thin glasses? Well it's 8 of them. I think they're 250ml. In any case you're meant to drink 2 Litres per day which is just over 4 pints. X

i think its around 250ml

give me thumbs up peeps!

a glass of water is considered 8 ounces so 8 would be 64 ounces (or a half gallon) a day.

try and google it...its an urban myth

we don't need to drink lots n lots of water as the bulk of what we need comes from our normal diet!

My dietician told me to drink 2 - 3 litres per day so it depends how big your glass is, however your cup of tea does count as long as all your fluid is not got this way

2 litres is roughly 8 large glasses - smaller then pint glass!

to work out how much you should drink for your weight, exercise and diet, climate you live in, breastfeeding etc - its great.

I started drinking my recommended water last week and although i went to the loo loads for first few days I feel so much healthier and full of energy and no headaches.

when i was dieting i was drinking a litre and half water + 1 cuppa tea in morning and that was it and i felt brilliant with a healthy diet it does work babe and it clears bo probs and stuff like that too

We lose approximately the equivalent of 8 tumblers of fluid a day from our bodies, perspiration, urination, defecation, tears, runny noses, etc. it is this which needs to be replaced.
But, since our food is largely made up of water, we do not need to replace the whole lot with drinking water.
Just as a note of interest, the guy who died last year while running the Marathon - post mortem examination showed cause of death to be largely that he drank too much water during the run.

drink 2 - 3 litres

Listen to your body, not the bullsh*t hype that is all around us about drinking 8 glasses a day.
Drink when you are thirsty, like all other living creatures that consume water.
Try not to drink sugary or carbonated drinks as they are not good for you at all

I believe the 8 glasses a day are supposed to be about 250ml. By 8 glasses, they mean those taller, thin glasses. Like the size of a medium McDonald's cup.

Ideally, you should be drinking about a gallon of water a day.

An average adult in average conditions of temperature, humidity and exertion, requires about 2 1/2 litres of fluid a day. 1 litre passes out as urine and 1 1/2 litres is lost as sweat and from the lungs.
