Should all injured victims should be treated for shock?!

Question: It depends on the injury and the severity. You should consider treating all victims for shock, but don't need to unless they are showing signs of shock (rapid, thready pulse, pale. clammy skin, rapid breathing, etc.)

The mechanism of injury and potential to develop shock need to be considered. A sprained ankle for example is an injury but little potential for shock, a fracture femur is another story. EMS usually has orders for IV starts for an patient with any potential to develop shock. Once a line is established if it is needed to help reverse shock it is in place ahead of time. EMS assessing shock will also consider the blood pressure.

For the most part, yes. I mean you will be in a mental shock in the beginning and it may become worse. It always seems so surreal, like , "did that just happen?"
This happens to everyone, from a death of a loved one, to a car wreck, or to a beat up old man; i belive it is best to get the pros and then treat them for shock while waiting.
